Or How to stay in relationship with your practice

I had the surreal experience this past week while sitting in the chair at my optometrist’s office. I had called in to say that my new contact lens prescription wasn’t feeling right, and was given an appointment a few days later so the doctor could re-check things.

So there was I was again, and we went through the rigamarole of me calling out the letters I saw on a distant chart when out of the blue the doctor said, “Did you drop off a blog post a few days ago?” I looked at him quizzically and said, “Um, no…” and then he said, “Did you write a blog post about your last eye appointment?” and it still didn’t ring any bells, mostly because I don’t have a blog anymore. So he said, “I have it in my office,” and left the room and came back with a printout with writing on it and I immediately knew what it was.
